The First National Bank of Blanchester has announced the promotion of Erin Whitaker to executive vice president and chief lending officer, effective March 31. Whitaker joined the bank in 2007 and has held various leadership roles during her nearly two-decade tenure. Her previous positions include compliance officer, Bank Secrecy Act officer, marketing officer and security officer. She also served as vice president of operations and most recently as senior vice president and senior lender.
A Blanchester native and graduate of Blanchester High School, Whitaker earned a Bachelor of Science from Shawnee State University in 2000. She later received a bank operations diploma from the Center for Financial Training in 2008 and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in applied management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012. Whitaker has been active in the local business community and was previously named Businesswoman of the Year by the Blanchester Area Chamber of Commerce.
